once you get your process down, its not very hard. yes its harder than using a RAW digital file as you need to get the color balanced.
but stick to one film and get to know it. it makes life easier. you scan as a slide film with no adjustments in vuescan and then like you said, use color perfect to invert, with any other adjustments in your favorite I discovered that it is possible to make really nice images with VueScan without postprocessing software this requires using Manual Color Balance and setting Neutral Red (vs.
cyan), Neutral Green (vs. magenta), and Neutral Blue (vs. yellow), and setting Curve Low to. 5 and Curve High to about. 6 to get a nice steep midrange curve, [Update August 13th, 2018 Something New!
